Good news for “Lucifer” fans: filming for missing episodes of season 5
Just recently, Tom Ellis personally revealed when he expects the second half of the fifth season of “Lucifer” to be broadcast. Now shooting is actually starting again!
In mid-March in Hollywood, many film and series sets fell on their last legs – but quite unplanned and surprising. The corona pandemic made filming almost impossible and many projects had to be postponed or canceled. “Lucifer” was one of the first series that was affected.
The industry in the USA is slowly waking up from its slumber and it can continue to be shot. As TVLine has learned, the “Lucifer” crew will be going back to the set on September 24th, 2020 and will start shooting episode 16 of the fifth season – it wasn’t finished in March. The sixth season will then be shot immediately afterwards.

Then the fifth season of “Lucifer” continues
Eight episodes of the fifth “Lucifer” season have been on Amazon Prime Video for a few weeks, and eight more episodes are still pending. It is not yet certain when exactly these will be broadcast.
Tom Ellis in top form: Season 5 “Lucifer” is a celebration for fans
Ellis himself expects the missing episodes to be broadcast either at Christmas 2020 or at the beginning of 2021. Should episode 16 really be shot in the next few days, the perfect Christmas present for all “Lucifer” fans could actually become a reality.
